RUBO is stepping into a major new chapter
The contract is officially signed, and our move into Business Design & Scope with OH!Media in Regina has begun.
Although I live in Vancouver now, when it came time to decide where to build RUBO, I knew I wanted to root it in my old stomping grounds in Saskatchewan. I had my heart set on bringing this vision home to the prairies, a place that will always feel like a part of me.
That is why partnering with OH! Media feels so aligned. RUBO’s next chapter is coming to life in the same province that shaped me.
Partnering with the right people matters: Enter Chris Bodas
One of the highlights of this phase is working with Chris Bodas, who is leading the project. From our first conversation, it was clear he is exactly the kind of person you want guiding a vision like this: genuine, intelligent, organized, and incredibly easy to collaborate with.
Chris brings a strong background in
• Software Project Management,
• Project Estimation,
• Project Coordination,
• Process Improvement, and
• Analytical and systems-focused work.
He has contributed to respected teams at Benevity, Vivvo, GasBuddy, and, of course, OH! Media, where he now leads complex digital builds. He pairs professionalism with kindness, and we connected right away. That connection truly matters when you are co-creating something as layered and meaningful as RUBO. I am very much looking forward to meeting the rest of the team.
Rooted in Saskatchewan, protected in Saskatchewan
Another thing I love about OH! Media is their commitment to keeping data secure and close to home. Their servers and data protection are all housed in Saskatchewan. As RUBO grows, this is a model I am seriously exploring. Keeping homeowners’ data protected locally, transparently, and responsibly feels aligned with our values and with the families we aim to support.
Small Steps Becoming Medium Steps, Becoming Leaps
The first notes and concepts I put together became the foundation, and I took small, steady steps to bring them to life. Now that I am working with a professional team, those small, independent steps are becoming medium ones.
As more community support, funding, advising, and aligned collaborators join this journey, we will eventually move from medium steps into leaps. And soon, RUBO will support thousands of families, helping them manage their homes with more ease, clarity, and calm.
Bringing it all home
Building RUBO in Saskatchewan, even from afar, feels like a beautiful full-circle moment. The province that raised me is now helping me bring this vision to life in a grounded and values-aligned way. I did not want to build this anywhere else.
Here is to this next phase.
Here is to the people walking it with us.
Here is to the cold place with the warmest hearts.
